Class 11 – September 30th

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a great start to the week. This class will focus on how to close down your garden, how to plant garlic, and how to grow microgreens indoors.

Where to Meet

We will meet at the farm at Loyola Campus.

The Loyola Farm is located at the back of Concordia University, Loyola Campus – TB building. 7079 Rue de Terrebonne, Montreal, Quebec H4B 1E1.

Class 11: Closing and Preparing Gardens for the Off-Season

As the season winds down, we’ll focus on the important steps of closing the garden. We’ll learn how to put beds “to rest” for the winter, protecting the soil and preparing for spring planting. We’ll also plant garlic, which is started in the fall and harvested the following summer, and begin an indoor project on growing microgreens to continue food production during the colder months.
