Class 2 – May 27

Hi everyone, and welcome to the second session of the Urban Agriculture Program with CultivAction Solidarity Cooperative!

This week, Erik will be leading the class, while Mohammed will be at the Senneville Farm overseeing the safe arrival of our chickens.

Where to Meet

We will meet in ROOM CC 214 at Loyola Campus (please see the map below) and then move to the farm after a presentation and discussion.

Class 2: Setting Up a Garden – Seeding, Transplanting & Building Infrastructure

In our second session, participants will learn how to maximize their garden or farm’s potential by understanding the principles of when, where, and how to plant effectively.

2. Presentation & Discussion: Seeding, Succession Planting, and Transplanting

3. Hands-On Garden Tasks

  • Light garden work: preparing beds, direct seeding, and transplanting
