In this fourth session, participants will be introduced to soil as a living system that supports regenerative food production in urban gardens and farms. We will begin by checking in on participants’ experiences in their garden groups, discussing successes, challenges, observations, and questions that have emerged since the previous session. Building on these reflections, we will explore soil structure and function, including microorganisms, composting processes, and the soil food web. Participants will also learn how regenerative soil practices can be applied in home gardening to improve plant health, resilience, and productivity.
