In this fifth session, participants will explore the ongoing care and maintenance of annual vegetable crops, with a focus on supporting healthy plant growth and maximizing yields throughout the growing season. We will discuss common garden insects and their ecological roles, examine maintenance practices for tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants, and practice pruning techniques through hands-on activities in the garden.

– Introduction to common beneficial and pest insects found in urban gardens

Maintaining Annual Crops

– Best practices for watering, fertilization, pruning, staking, and monitoring plant health
